Description
Using the Standard Model Higgs field as the inflaton is an attractive and seemingly minimal model. However, the picture is complicated by the dependence of the predictions on the quantum corrections on the one hand and on the choice of the gravitational degrees of freedom on the other. Parametrisations of the gravitational degrees of freedom that are equivalent for Einstein-Hilbert gravity are physically distinct for Higgs inflation. I will discuss this dependence and its interplay with the quantum corrections.
