Platform Dalí is a new cultural and research initiative inspired by the imagination of Salvador Dalí, whose artistic practice and intellectual curiosity were deeply intertwined with the scientific revolutions of his time. The initiative is developed by the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and is led by curator and cultural producer Mónica Bello, who directed for the past ten years the prestigious Arts at CERN program. The project aims to become a global hub where artistic creation and advanced scientific research coexist to generate new ways of understanding the world.
Based in Barcelona, the program establishes collaborations with five leading scientific institutions of the city—BSC-CNS, ICFO, ICM-CSIC, IFAE, and PRBB—to foster dialogue between artists and cutting-edge research in fields ranging from quantum technologies to biomedicine. Beginning in 2026, Platform Dalí will launch an annual program including artistic fellowships, research residencies, encounters, and public events, culminating in a major exhibition in 2029.
Two of the first selected artists—Tania Candiani and George Mahashe—will participate in the seminar.
