Description
The future GAMMA-400 space mission (an international collaboration led by Russia and Italy) will combine the ability to study high-energy gamma rays with excellent angular and energy resolution, and precision high-statistics Cosmic-ray measurements of the all-electron component up to TeV energies, as well as the spectra of protons and nuclei up to the knee (~10^15 eV) region. These measurements will address a broad range of scientific topics such as the search for signatures of dark matter, studies of Galactic and extragalactic gamma-ray sources, diffuse gamma-ray emission and gamma-ray bursts, as well as Galactic Cosmic-ray acceleration, propagation and diffusion.
