Bio

Marumi Kado is currently a Director at the Max Planck Institute for Physics in Munich. During his PhD at University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris) and Laboratoire de l’Accélérateur Linéaire (LAL), and subsequently as a CERN fellow, he was a member of the ALEPH Collaboration working on Higgs searches. As a fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, he joined the D0 Collaboration to work on top quark physics. In 2003, he joined CNRS at LAL and the ATLAS experiment to work on the liquid Argon electromagnetic calorimeter and the search for the Higgs boson. From 2014 to 2016, he was coordinator of the Physics Program of the ATLAS experiment. In 2018 he joined the University of Rome, La Sapienza as Professor. From 2021, until recently in 2023, he was the deputy spokesperson of the ATLAS experiment
