Description
The planned Mu3e-Experiment looks for the charged lepton flavor violating decay of an Antimuon to two Positrons and one Electron. This decay is highly suppressed in the Standard Model (BR < 10^(-54)) but Beyond Standard Model Theories like Supersymmetry predict a higher branching ratio. To achieve the planned sensitivity of 10^(-16) the decay vertex position, decay time and particle momenta have to be measured precisely. A pixel tracker with 50 μm thin high voltage monolithic active pixel sensors (HV-MAPS) in a magnetic field will deliver this precise vertex and momentum information. In this Pizza Seminar an overview of the experiment will be given.
