Description
Microquasars are X-ray binary systems that host relativistic jets. In the last years, they became more attractive for the gamma-ray astronomy due to the models that predict their emission in this regime. Despite those models, up to now no source of this type has ever been detected in the very high energy range. The typical X-ray/radio state variation that show, constrain the possible gamma-ray detection. In this talk, a general view of these challenging sources is provided as well as some of the most relevant results obtained from the observations with the MAGIC telescopes.
