Description
Along the history, neutrino oscillation has been very well established. However, there are still some remaining anomalies that cannot be fit in the standard three neutrino picture. A fourth neutrino is a good candidate to address the differences observed in the experimental data. This neutrino must be in the range of (Δm²>1ev²) and not coupled to the electroweak interaction, hence, sterile. We will see how the long baseline neutrino experiment T2K is able to validate the so-called 3+1 model, searching for electron neutrino disappearance at its near detector.
