Description

Cosmological probes of new physics scenarios provide a powerful complementary probe to traditional earth based experiments. Strongly coupled new physics and their holographic duals, well-motivated and well-studied in the literature, can provide signals in the early universe that are unique - from a coming together of non-perturbative effects and the early universe environment.

I will focus on a deconfinement to confinement phase transition that can occur in the early Universe, post inflation. I'll show several new features that are only visible at strong coupling and modify the current understanding of the process. I will discuss the theoretical and phenomenological implications of these features. Time permitting, I will discuss a pre inflationary scenario involving a standard inflaton coupled to a confining sector, and show that imprints of such a dynamics can be detectable.
The talk will be based on 2401.09633 and 2512.04177.
