The Nobel prize in Physics 2025 awarded the discovery of the macroscopic quantum tunneling and the energy quantization in an electrical circuit. In this seminar, I will present both discoveries and connect its relevance to the construction of quantum computers using superconducting circuits, including the work we carry out in the QCT group at IFAE.
