Description
Accurate reconstruction of pion production is essential for neutrino oscillation measurements in water Cherenkov detectors. In T2K, charged-current single-pion (CC1π) interactions constitute an important event sample. Misidentification of these events as CC0π impacts energy reconstruction and therefore oscillation parameter extraction. This work highlights the importance of CC1π event identification and explores improvements in reconstruction efficiency by recovering the missing decay electron from the π → μ → e decay chain, enhancing particle identification and event classification in Cherenkov detectors.
