In this talk I will present universal formulas for particle production from gravitational inhomogeneities. Focusing on the massless, conformally coupled case—valid at both weak and strong coupling—I will show that the result is fully determined by the energy-momentum tensor two-point function, unifying previous results. I will outline the derivation using the 1PI effective action and Bogoliubov transformations, and discuss applications to stochastic scalar and tensor backgrounds from inflation and phase transitions. Finally, I will show the equivalence between particle production and gravitational scattering inside the Hubble horizon, linking these results to gravitational freeze-in.
