We are about to launch the outreach project Cazadores de Rayos Gamma that we’ve developed at IFAE with some seed money from FECYT. We’ve created a web application targeted for high-school students to show how astroparticles research is done, in particular with the MAGIC telescopes. We’ve gone beyond the text and animations about the cosmic sources and the phyiscal processes involved and opened up the possibility for the users to actually analyze and visualize MAGIC data. One of the objectives is to show how this research is done and not just focus on its results. The application is presented as a game and to promote it we are opening up a contest: the winner will be able to visit the ORM and the MAGIC telescopes. In this talk we’d like to share with you the work done, comment the possibilities that this application opens and ask you for help both in promoting the application and using it as beta testers.
