DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Louie Dartmoor Corpe\n\nIn this talk\, I will give a
n overview of the thinking and planning behind the search for new physics
in ATLAS for the rest of the LHC lifetime. In particular\, with the end of
LHC exploitation on the horizon\, how should we best use our limited time
and resources to maximise our objectives? And what are our objectives in t
he first place?I will divide the search programme into two categories (the
"flagship" programme and the "speculative" programme) and give examples o
f each.  I will lay out how\, in ATLAS\, we plan to make best use of new
analysis techniques\, new detectors\, and the expertise of our community.
Finally\, I will comment on how we need to ensure our searches are re-expl
oitable in the long term\, noting the challenges ahead of us and some tent
 ative solutions.\n\nhttps://indico.ifae.es/event/2537/
