The origin of cosmic magnetic fields remains a mystery. If magnetic fields were generated in the early Universe, weak remnants may still exist in the vast voids between galaxies today. In this seminar, I will show how observations of high-energy gamma rays from distant astrophysical sources can be used to search for these elusive intergalactic magnetic fields and what their discovery could reveal about the history of our Universe.
