Two undergraduate projects: silicon detectors & MWPC

Last summer 10 undergradaute students spent a month at IFAE developing research projects in the context the 2nd Summer Fellowship at IFAE programme. In this seminar two of this projects will be presented by the students that developed them. Anna Díaz (UAB) worked with Emanuele Cavallaro and Stefano Terzo from the ATLAS Pixels group on the characterization of new generation of silicon detectors. Aina Marquez (UAB) and Daniel Muñoz (University of Valladolid) worked with Federico Sánchez and Thorsten Lux in the development and characterization of a MWPC detector. They will show the scope of the research done and the opportunities for further development.
