Description
After an introduction to the muon anomaly, (g-2)/2, highlighting its role in the search for physics beyond the standard model, I present recent lattice QCD computations of the hadronic vacuum polarization and hadronic light-by-light contributions by the RBC/UKQCD collaborations and others. The results for both are beginning to significantly impact the error on the standard model value of the muon g-2. I discuss prospects for reducing the errors further, in time for the new experimental measurement at Fermilab.
