Description
The measurement of the top-antitop resonance line-shape is a major goal at the planned International Linear Collider (ILC). It will allow for a precise determination of the properties of the top quark and reveal details about its interactions. In particular the mass of the top quark may be extracted with unprecedented precision from the expected experimental data. On the theory side this requires a very precise prediction of the top-antitop production cross section in the threshold region. In this talk I will sketch the calculation of the renormalization group improved total cross section using NRQCD and discuss the latest results focusing on the theoretical uncertainties. I will also consider the impact of experimental cuts on the reconstructed top and antitop invariant masses.
