Description
For models with extended Higgs sectors, minimizing the one-loop
effective potential and calculating tunneling times between physical and
non- physical minima can provide a competitive phenomenological
constraint. In this talk we will discuss the method for finding all the
minima of the potential and tunneling times implemented in the software
package Vevacious. As an example we will take a look at charge- and
color- breaking minima in the MSSM both at zero and non-zero
temperature. We will see that when requiring compatibility with other
phenomenological constraints, vacuum stability presents an even more
challenging scenario for this model.
