We explain the basic concepts of gravitational wave interferometry and the main method used for the detection of these events in the collaboration. We also explore the possibility of using a deep learning approach in the detection of gravitational waves events produced by compact binaries using LIGO/Virgo data. A convolutional neural network (CNN) trained using artificial signals, produced using a large grid of parameters, is used for this task. The aforementioned CNN will be used to scan the O2 LIGO/Virgo data to try to detect all the possible gravitational wave events. Furthermore, coincidences in detection between the different interferometers will be used to discriminant the real events from fakes created due to glitches or problems in the data.
