Description
During the pizza seminar I will present the photometric redshift problem that exist when trying to infer the cosmology of the Universe when using photometric surveys. I will outline the traditional methods of dealing with this problem while I'll elaborate on how machine learning can provide a solution and how it used in the Dark Energy Survey.
