Depending on their citizenship, participants will need a visitor visa to visit Spain. Please check well in advance whether you will need a visa or not. You can find information at the following link
Invitation letters to assist in visa formalities will be sent by the conference organization to people who request it in order to help you in obtaining the visa. It must be understood that such letters do not imply any financial support or hosting arrangement, nor a guarantee of a visa being issued.
Note of caution
Barcelona is a very touristic city and, as such, pickpockets are present. Please, be very cautious of your belongings when walking or travelling in the city.

The Barcelona Airport is well connected to many international destinations.
► From the airport to the UAB Casa Convalescencia (Downtown BCN)
The easiest way to go from the airport to the UAB Casa Convalescencia is to take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya and then use the dense bus/underground network. The total travel time is about 1h. The cost of the bus is €5.9 per ride and can be purchased directly on the bus. Alternatively, underground line 9 also reach the airport and via Collblanc station, and in connection with line 5 one can reach Sant Pau/Dos de Maig station close to the meeting venue (however this path can take longer). Prices for the bus/underground tickets can be consulted here. A taxi from the airport T1 to downtown Barcelona close to Sagrada Familia can costs in the range between approx. 35€ and 40€.
