Depending on their citizenship, participants will need a visitor visa to visit Spain. Please check well in advance whether you will need a visa or not. You can find information at the following link
Invitation letters to assist in visa formalities will be sent by the conference organization to people who request it in order to help you in obtaining the visa. It must be understood that such letters do not imply any financial support or hosting arrangement, nor a guarantee of a visa being issued.
Note of caution
Barcelona is a very touristic city and, as such, pickpockets are present. Please, be very cautious of your belongings when walking or travelling in the city.

► Getting to Barcelona
The Barcelona Airport is well connected to many international destinations.
► From the airport to the Hotel Campus (Bellaterra)
The easiest way to go from the airport to the Hotel Campus is to take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya and then the FGC train (S6 or S2 lines) to Bellaterra. In Bellaterra, you may follow the signs to "Hotel Campus". Hotel Campus is located around 5-7 minutes walking distance from the train station (see the map further below in this page). The total travel time is 1h:20 min. For more travel options please consult google maps. The cost of the bus is €5.9 per ride and can be purchased directly on the bus. The cost of the train is described below. A taxi ride from the airport to the Hotel Campus costs about €60.
► From the Hotel Campus (Bellaterra) to Barcelona city center
The FGC train ride between Bellaterra (closest to Hotel Campus) and Plaça Catalunya (Barcelona city center) takes 32 minutes. Additional transportation information can be found here. A taxi ride from the Hotel Campus to the city center costs about €30 - €50 depending on the exact address and travel time.
