Note of caution
Barcelona is a very touristic city and, as such, pickpockets are present. Please, be very cautious of your belongings when walking or traveling in the city. See, for example, these recommendations.
Airport in Barcelona
The airport in Barcelona has two terminals, T1 and T2. There is a bus connecting the two terminals as they are 4 km apart. T1 is where most international flights arrive. Please, consult the Barcelona airport terminals information for details.
Transportation
The easiest way to go from the airport to Barcelona downtown is to take the Aerobus from the airport to Plaça Catalunya. The ride takes about 35 min, and costs about 7-8 EUR (one way). You can buy the tickets next to the bus stops (see here).
